The Anonymous Shipping Company of Mastihari was founded in 1986 from the Mayor of Antimahia Mr Papanikolaou Konstantinos and the kalymnian businessman Mr Tiliakos Ilias.
The idea was based on the existing line connection of Mastihari with the Kalymnos island which until then, served with the F/B APOLLON II a property of mr Tiliakos. We would say that it was the pioneer company regarding the cooperation of a private business with a public institution in Greece. Today in the composition of her Participial Capital, the Municipality of Heraklides, participates with 51% and Mr Tiliakos with 49%. The company runs with permanent personnel and have her own autonomy, functioning with private economy criteria. In 1990 acquires F/B OLYMPIOS APOLLON which is build by the company included in the developmental law. After laborious efforts the boat accomplishes to elect in the line and is loved by the locals and visitors who prefer that for their transport.
Seeing the growth of the line but also the new requirements that develop in the line the company builds her second boat the F/B ATROMITOS in 1997.
This two boats accomplish to become the bridge that links the two islands of Dodekanese Kalymnos and Kos, resulting the fast growth of trade between the two islands.
Many local bussineses moves in this axis which are developed thanks to the activity of A.N.E.M. and with mainly reason the fair tickets.
In 2001 and taking into consideration the service of tourist public that visits our islands the A.N.E.M. buys the APOLLONIO which also allocates for the transport of tourists and which conquers immediately the sympathy of tourist agents of our region. That boat was sold in March 2006 in Cretan shipowners.
In 2006 the company sells the F/B ATROMITOS in the Oinousses Friends Association and buys as his substitute the F/B OLYMPIOS ZEUS with a length of 59 metres and width of 14 metres at the age of seven years.
The company has also the boat named OLYMPIOS EXPRESS for tourist transports.
Today the company accomodated in her privately-owned buildings in the region of mastihari from where is also practised her all enterprising action.
